Be it recording in the studio or recording live, I can accomodate any situation that you can dream up. For recording in the studio, I can come to you and engineer or we can utilize my studio to mix. I work primarily in Pro Tools, but am proficient in Logic and many others. I bring a deep experience of working with sound along with me to every gig. I want to work with artists who value excellence in production and want the best sound possible.

This was recorded live at the 2011 Vogue Met Gala. The band is Florence + The Machine and were recorded on a Pro Tools HD3 system through the Avid Madi I/O for 64 channels of audio record. Post Mix was done at my studio in Stamford, CT.

This was recorded live in Wilkes-Barre, PA in 2009. The band is Breaking Benjamin. I used Pro Tools HD 3 with a Tascam MX2424 backup to track the performance. The recording set up is pictured at the top of the video.

Recording Perspective

“As producer, and a musician, I am excited by projects that stretch musical sounds and concepts, and I see the development of an artist’s or group’s personal sound as the guiding force behind a session. I strive to give artists a precise, accurate and efficient recording process. As a producer, I bring to projects the ability to enable artists to clearly express their musical abilities and ambitions. This is achieved by helping an artist to reach a comfort level in the studio and by enhancing their ability to work creatively and ambitiously. I work with artists to define their priorities, and focus on what is important for them to convey through their music. This enables us to create music that is emotionally expressive and true to the artist’s goals for the session. In addition, we work together to reach new levels that artists could not have created outside of the studio setting.”

“Recording should be a time of musical exploration for an artist or group, not just a time to ‘get down’ a song or two. New sounds can be discovered and songs can find new life in recorded form. My primary desire is for the artist to be happy with the finished product – whatever it takes to get there.”
